Christian Alliance for Orphans announces
Jedd Medefind as new Executive Director
The Christian Alliance for Orphans, encompassing orphan care organizations and church leaders to inform, educate and engage the church in orphan and adoption ministry, announces Jedd Medefind as their new Executive Director. Medefind began his new position on Monday, April 6th.
Medefind ended his most recent role as the head of the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives in January, 2009. Concurrent with this post, Medefind also served as special assistant to former President George W. Bush. From 2005-2007 he was director for the U.S. Department of Labor's Center for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives. He has also worked as a Chief of Staff in the California State Legislature and in posts with organizations ranging from the California Community Renewal Project to Price-Waterhouse, Moscow.
Medefind is the author of two books and numerous articles and is also an accomplished speaker, consistently challenging audiences to "pursue the things that matter most" in vocation, faith and community.
Ready to begin his new position at the Christian Alliance for Orphans, Medefind states, "It is a tremendous privilege to serve and build up organizations at work across America and around the world on behalf of children without parents. I can imagine no work that more fully reflects God's heart than loving care for orphans in their distress."
Medefind and his wife Rachel have two daughters, Siena and Marin, and anticipate welcoming an adopted daughter, Eden, next month.
