FaithBridge Foster Care, a non-profit organization located in metro Atlanta, is hiring a Marketing and Communications Manager (MCM). We are seeking an experienced marketer and storyteller who will thrive promoting our mission and drive church recruitment, fundraising and constituent engagement goals through inspirational content and skillful strategy across communications and marketing platforms. We are seeking someone with a deep passion for Christian foster care and a passion to tell that story. The successful candidate will be someone with a proven track record developing and implementing multi-channel content marketing plans and with demonstrated digital marketing expertise in particular. We are looking for someone who understands that successful marketing is about relationship-building and creating meaningful connections that inspire action toward goals.

The MCM is responsible for the creation and execution of content marketing plans, editorial calendars and ultimately managing a steady flow of branded content online and in print. The MCM manages the communications team including staff and vendors to create, coordinate and repurpose brand content across a variety of channels including the organization’s website and blogs, social media platforms, advertising outlets and print materials. The MCM reports to the Chief Strategy Officer.

Responsibilities
The Marketing and Communications Manager leads the development and implementation of content initiatives in all forms to support the FaithBridge’s programmatic and business goals. This includes:
• Managing day-to-day content creation, presentation and execution. Ensuring all content is on-brand and consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice. In addition, ensuring that this content is optimized for search and user experience across channels—including online, social media, email, mobile, video, print and onsite experience.
• Mapping out a content and presentation strategy that supports and extends programmatic, marketing and fundraising initiatives, both short- and long-term, and determining which methods work and why. This includes the supervision of analytic research and measurement to gauge content effectiveness and make strategic recommendation based on those results. Continuous evolution of strategy is a must.
• Developing a functional content production calendar, and establishing work flow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing and retiring content.
• Collaborating with leadership to clarify goals, messaging for key audiences and performance benchmarks.
• Managing print and online advertising: choose and write content; manage graphic design for print ads, social media promotion, online advertising and radio spots; maintain deadlines; manage publication relations and contracts.
• Working with technical team to implement appropriate CMS and on website development and management.
• Developing content and strategies for fundraising initiatives including mailings, special events and more.
• Managing and administering the department: supervision of communications staff, interns, consultants and vendors; routine reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer and others; budgeting of projects; overseeing billing and monitoring expenses to budget.
• Supervising writers, editors and digital content production, and serving as an arbiter of best practices in messaging, graphics, writing and style.
• Working closely with design partners and consultants on all creative and branding initiatives to ensure a consistent message across channels.
• Managing and supporting staff and external contacts in aligning writing and content creation with organizational goals; coaching staff and external contacts to produce content on schedule.
• Developing standards, systems and best practices (both human and technological) for content creation, distribution, maintenance, storage, retrieval and repurposing, including the real-time implementation of content strategies.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Public Relations or related communications field preferred. Advanced degree a plus.
• 5+ years experience in marketing and managing multichannel content creation.
• 3+ years social media marketing experience.
• Demonstrated success in creating compelling messages for different target audiences.
• Direct marketing and fundraising experience a plus.
• A deep commitment to the mission of FaithBridge.

Skills Required
• Strong creativity and demonstrated success in creating responsive, original and interesting content that engages audiences and inspires them to action.
• Demonstrated experience using web analytics and social media marketing tools to make data-informed strategic decisions.
• A passion for new technology tools and demonstrated use of those tools to advance online and social media marketing goals; needs to be continually learning the latest platforms, technology tools and marketing solutions.
• The ability to collaborate with, lead and inspire teams of programmatic and creative personnel and content creators to achieve organizational goals.
• Superb editorial skills. Outstanding command of the English language.
• Skilled in both long-form content creation and real-time (immediate) content creation, including the use of images, graphics and video.
• Expertise with distribution strategies and tactics.
• Experience creating and managing a resource library of content.
• Clear articulation of the business goal behind the creation of a piece (or series) of content.
• Superb organization and project management skills as well as attention to detail to manage editorial schedules and deadlines within multiple, ongoing campaigns.
• Ability to plan, track numerous tasks and balance time and cost factors.

The FaithBridge Community of Care Implementation Manager will be responsible for helping with all aspects of managing, supporting and equipping our partners. The successful candidate works on the Strategy Team in the tactical development, communication, execution, sustainability and enhancement of new business offerings and strategic initiatives including, but not limited to certification program, administrative services agreements, potential partnerships and acquisitions as well as alliances. The ideal candidate is a mission-driven professional with social work and/or missions experience and the ability to direct, develop and support projects serving children from hard places through the local church. This position requires exceptional communications skills and cross-cultural awareness to effectively navigate partnerships between FaithBridge and local churches, child welfare agencies and government partners. The Implementation Manager achieves operational objectives by preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties
• Develops and manages ministry relationships characterized by a humble attitude of mutual respect, trust and service.
• Foster, assess, and develop partnership relationships that allow for the implementation of foster care initiatives consistent with FaithBridge Community of Care model.
• Maintain key working relationships with clients/partners to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction
• Creates detailed work plans that identify and sequence the activities needed, determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required, develop a project schedule that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
• Execute the project according to the implementation plan, monitors the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary
• Facilitate a process of project transparency and accountability between partners, local churches and FaithBridge.
• Facilitate the identification and communication of programmatic best practices and the sharing of organizational knowledge.
• Continually assess funding needs and ongoing budgeting of projects to ensure proper funding and the identification of new ministry initiatives.
• Monitor and measure information and data on child welfare industry trends and continual development of the Christian orphan movement
• Develop forms and records to document project activities, sets up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured
• Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders on the progress of the project
• Review the quality of the work on a regular basis to ensure that it meets FaithBridge standards
• Write reports on the project for management and for donors
• Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
• Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase
• Maximizes the use of available technology in order to improve operational workflow and ensure consistent outcomes management
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education/Certification:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in social work, business, non-profit management, or related field
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred

Experience Required:

• Ten (10) years’ experience in non-profit and/or leadership position, including several years of supervision and management of teams
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the child welfare industry

Travel Required:
• Must be able to travel approximately 10 days a month

Skills/Abilities:
• Strong managerial, planning and organizational skills
• Proven leadership qualities with influencing and negotiating skills
• Strong writing skills are essential to this role
