Responsibilities
The Marketing and Communications Manager leads the development and implementation of content initiatives in all forms to support the FaithBridge’s programmatic and business goals. This includes:
• Managing day-to-day content creation, presentation and execution. Ensuring all content is on-brand and consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice. In addition, ensuring that this content is optimized for search and user experience across channels—including online, social media, email, mobile, video, print and onsite experience.
• Mapping out a content and presentation strategy that supports and extends programmatic, marketing and fundraising initiatives, both short- and long-term, and determining which methods work and why. This includes the supervision of analytic research and measurement to gauge content effectiveness and make strategic recommendation based on those results. Continuous evolution of strategy is a must.
• Developing a functional content production calendar, and establishing work flow for requesting, creating, editing, publishing and retiring content.
• Collaborating with leadership to clarify goals, messaging for key audiences and performance benchmarks.
• Managing print and online advertising: choose and write content; manage graphic design for print ads, social media promotion, online advertising and radio spots; maintain deadlines; manage publication relations and contracts.
• Working with technical team to implement appropriate CMS and on website development and management.
• Developing content and strategies for fundraising initiatives including mailings, special events and more.
• Managing and administering the department: supervision of communications staff, interns, consultants and vendors; routine reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer and others; budgeting of projects; overseeing billing and monitoring expenses to budget.
• Supervising writers, editors and digital content production, and serving as an arbiter of best practices in messaging, graphics, writing and style.
• Working closely with design partners and consultants on all creative and branding initiatives to ensure a consistent message across channels.
• Managing and supporting staff and external contacts in aligning writing and content creation with organizational goals; coaching staff and external contacts to produce content on schedule.
• Developing standards, systems and best practices (both human and technological) for content creation, distribution, maintenance, storage, retrieval and repurposing, including the real-time implementation of content strategies.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, Public Relations or related communications field preferred. Advanced degree a plus.
• 5+ years experience in marketing and managing multichannel content creation.
• 3+ years social media marketing experience.
• Demonstrated success in creating compelling messages for different target audiences.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in social work, business, non-profit management, or related field
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker preferred

Experience Required:

• Ten (10) years’ experience in non-profit and/or leadership position, including several years of supervision and management of teams
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the child welfare industry

Travel Required:
• Must be able to travel approximately 10 days a month

Part-time and full-time internships are available in public relations, adoption programs, and office administration.
  • The qualified candidate is a committed believer in Jesus Christ as revealed in the Bible, feels a calling to be involved with adoption and orphan care, is currently seeking a degree in a field relevant to the applicable department (e.g. social work, human services, public relations, human resources/office administration, etc.), and possesses basic computer skills.
