The Area Managing Director works closely with the Executive Director (Georgia) to create, communicate, develop, execute, and sustain operations in a targeted geography. Successful candidates will be able to work in a self-directed and manner with a high level of organizational and relational ability as this individual will be responsible, initially, for all aspects of church relations, community development and case management. Candidates must have a strong understanding of the child welfare system as well as strong clinical knowledge, particularly in the areas of childhood trauma, family-systems, substance abuse and/or sexual abuse.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

Church and Community Relations
• Working in partnership with the Executive Director (Georgia) and the rest of the FaithBridge team, the AMD will work with church partners to train leadership team, cast vision, design and implement annual ministry plan, and manage ministry calendar and operations
• Manage local awareness campaign in partnership with marketing team and resource coordinator that leverages word-of-mouth, referrals, community presentations and testimonials to attract parents to become foster families
• Promote FaithBridge mission, speak publicly and lead training events that range include, but are not limited to, ministry team leadership training to FaithBridge Encounter (orientation), FaithBridge Foundations (pre-service training), volunteer training and other events
• Organize, schedule and facilitate local activities including awareness and recruitment events to mobilize churches, uncover local ministry partners and deepen relationships with DFCS and Juvenile Court Manages staff including performance management, salary planning and administration, training and development, workflow planning, hiring and placement and disciplinary actions
• Manages foster family and volunteer recruitment and capacity-building pipeline
• Performs other duties as assigned

Case management and case supervision
• Work closely with DFCS and the juvenile court system to manage children’s deprivation cases toward permanency.
• Manage foster family utilization and works to achieve >90% utilization at all times
• Participate in matching foster children with foster families during the placement process.
• Ensure each child’s safety, permanency and well-being while in foster care through home visits and frequent involvement with the child, foster family and birth family.
• Support birth family reunification efforts through birth parent visitations and intentional birth parent support.
• Promote foster placement stability through foster parent coaching, 24/7 support, service coordination, spiritual guidance, treatment planning and crisis intervention.
• Advocate for each child’s best interest by attending all court hearings, panel reviews, Family Team Meetings, educational meetings and other meetings related to a child’s case.
• Supervise family consultants and provide day-to-day coaching.

Requirements: 

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Minimum of Master’s Degree, in Human Services Field (i.e., Social Work, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Counseling, Ministry/Theology or other related degree)

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
•Five (5) to Seven (7) years’ experience in case management or supervisory position.
•Georgia DHS RBWO Foundations Certified or waiver eligible is beneficial, but not required.
•Experience with GA+SCORE and GA SHINES preferred, but not required.
•Experience in child placing agency and/or child welfare department desirable as well as demonstrated experience in understanding and navigating church culture through church leadership.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
•Case management experience in child welfare/strong case coordination skills
•Strong documentation, organization, time management, coaching and crisis intervention skills
•Understanding of child-deprivation cases and legal system
•Knowledge/experience regarding RBWO performance-based contract requirements (CPA regulations)
•Mission-focused and passionate about seeking restoration for hurting families and children;
•Solid relationship with Christ and ability to disciple foster families as they serve in this ministry;
•Ability to work with birth parents from a strengths-based and compassionate perspective;
•Strong managerial, planning and organizational skills
•Ability to conduct training, communicate at panel discussions, and to make professional presentations.
•Communicates effectively and tactfully with all levels of stakeholders and personnel, expressing thoughts, feelings and ideas in a clear, concise and compelling manner in both individual and
group situations; actively listening to others; adjusting style to capture the attention of the audience
•Ability to develop and manage a professional staff in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
•Effective team building skills

The Foster Family Consultant (FFC) is our unique version of the case management role within a child placing agency.
